Watch Blue Bloods Season1 Episode8
Summary: BLUE BLOODS is a drama about a multi-generational family of cops dedicated to New York City law enforcement. Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck) is the New York Chief of Police and patriarch of the Reagan brood, which he heads as diplomatically as he does the force, even when dealing with the politics that plagued his unapologetically bold father, Henry (Len Cariou), during his stint as Chief. A source of pride and concern for Frank is his eldest son Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a seasoned detective, family man and Iraqi War vet who on occasion uses dubious tactics to solve cases. The sole Reagan woman in the family, Erin (Bridget Moynahan), is a N.Y. Assistant D.A. and newly single parent, who also serves as the legal compass for her siblings and father. Jamie (Will Estes) is the youngest Reagan, fresh out of Harvard Law and the family's "golden boy." However, unable to deny the family tradition, Jamie decided to give up a lucrative future in law and is now a newly minted cop, a career change seemingly supported by his beautiful girlfriend, Sydney Davenport (Dylan Moore), a first year lawyer. Jamie's life takes an abrupt turn, however, when he's asked to become part of a clandestine police investigation even his father knows nothing about, and one that could impact the family's legacy. Emmy Award winners Mitchell Burgess, Robin Green and Leonard Goldberg are executive producers for CBS Television Studios.

Summary: Jack is a by-the-book detective whose habit of undermining himself has resulted in a dead-end position with the Police Dept. His partner Dan, a drunken, lecherous veteran hangs onto his job only because of one heroic act years ago.

The Good Guys is an American action-comedy-drama series about an old-school cop and a modern-day detective that premiered with a preview episode on Fox on May 19, 2010, and began airing regularly on June 7.[4] The series stars Bradley Whitford as Dan Stark, a mustachioed, former big-shot detective with the Dallas Police Department, and Colin Hanks as Jack Bailey, a young, ambitious, by-the-book detective who has been assigned as Dan's partner because of his snarky attitude.

Cast
Dan Stark (Bradley Whitford) is a former big-shot detective who once saved the governor's son but is now all but washed up and spends most of his time reliving his glory days. However his hunches and odd ways of doing his job still seem to get the job done. He is shown to have a friendly relationship with the criminals he has arrested.[5][6] Series creator Matt Nix describes Dan Stark as being "actually a fantastic 1981 cop. He just hasn't moved along with the time. CSI stuff is like black magic."[7] Stuck in the past, he has a difficult time adjusting to new technologies, such as "computer machines" and "smarty phones." Dan lives in a trailer located "in the shadow of" the Texas Star Ferris Wheel in Fair Park.[8][6] He often retells stories to Jack of the old days with his former partner Frank Savage (Gary Cole), with whom he had a close buddy-cop relationship. He is reckless and unpredictable, and does not hesitate to use his handgun for any trivial matter, such as "using his service revolver to open a mayonnaise jar". He enjoys eating peanuts with the shell on, listening to Foghat, and chewing gum.

Jack Bailey (Colin Hanks) is an ambitious by-the-book detective whose attitude has made him few friends on the police force.[5] He still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend Liz Traynor, who he usually musters up the courage to talk to. Jack is usually calm-headed, preferring not to get his hands dirty at times when it is unnecessary. He admits to having attempted to grow a mustache to look tougher, but because only the middle part grew it looked like a "Hitler mustache." He gradually learns from Dan about the importance of a partner.

Liz Traynor (Jenny Wade) is an assistant district attorney and former girlfriend of Jack.[5] She apparently broke up with him because "she didn't want to date a cop", though it is quite obvious that the two of them are not over each other and continue to harbor romantic leanings, leading to rather awkward conversations and situations. After Liz's boyfriend is arrested in "The Whistleblower", she and Jack decide to give their relationship another shot.

Lieutenant Ana Ruiz (Diana Maria Riva) is Jack and Dan's boss, who sees to it that they keep themselves and the police department out of trouble by investigating seemingly minor crimes.[9] She is Dan's ex-partner and ex-girlfriend.[5][6] Despite her publicly professed annoyance with Dan, she seems incapable of not hooking up with Dan.

Julius Grant (RonReaco Lee) is a petty criminal who used to run a pawn shop but is now working in a pub. He is constantly getting in trouble, which Dan usually takes advantage of with a bribe in order to get him to play the role of a snitch. Dan believes that their relationship as detective and snitch is "a sacred bond", and does not hesitate to call on him when his criminal abilities are needed, whether for information or to act as a human tracking device. Though reluctant to help Jack and Dan with their dangerous and unorthodox plans, he often goes above their expectations to save them in times of need.

Samantha Evans (Angela Sarafyan) is an offbeat and socially awkward assistant crime scene investigator. Though assigned to lab work Samantha has a desire to do field work and she jumps at the chance to help Jack and Dan with their cases, often without them asking for her assistance. Due to not following procedures the evidence collected by Samantha often cannot be used in court but it does lead Jack and Dan to the bad guys. Samantha has a romantic interest in Jack which he is completely blind to.

Elton Hodges (Joel Spence) is a somewhat bumbling rival detective who holds a dim opinion of Dan's police methods.
[edit] Production

The series is being filmed primarily in Dallas, Texas, and is making use of the Fair Park area as much as possible for its diverse shooting locations and so as not to disturb the residents.[10][11] The show was originally planned to be set in Los Angeles until Dallas city officials convinced creator Matt Nix to set the show in Dallas.[12] Nix said of Dallas, "It’s a great city to jump on the hood of a car."[8][12] Initially, the protagonists' mode of transportation is a mid-nineties Chevrolet Lumina, but during the course of the first episode, Dan Stark acquires a 1979 Pontiac Trans Am and uses it to great dramatic effect during the rescue of a hostage. By the end of the pilot episode, the new car has won the grudging respect of the uptight Bailey, and become the team's new vehicle. The Lumina detective's car was replaced with a mid 2000's Ford Taurus but Dan and Jack rarely use it as the team vehicle. Production work on the series began in January 2010 and principal photography of the pilot wrapped in early February 2010.[8][10] Cast members spent time shadowing their real-life Dallas counterparts to prepare for their roles.[5]

The Good Guys was originally known by the working title Jack and Dan.[13] For several months the series was to be known as Code 58, the Dallas Police Department code for "routine investigation", and then briefly as The Five Eight before producers settled on The Good Guys title.[14][15] During the January 2010 Television Critics Association press tour, Colin Hanks jokingly suggested "Opposite Buddy Cop Show".[8]

In May 2010, Fox announced that an additional seven episodes had been ordered for the show's first season, extending the initial run to 20 episodes.[2] The show's summer run on Monday nights ended on August 2, 2010. The Good Guys moved to Friday nights along with reruns of House, M.D., with new episodes for The Good Guys starting on September 24, 2010.[16] The show has struggled with low ratings and renewal prospects, even given the show's low production costs, are uncertain.

The supernatural or supranatural (Latin: super, supra "above" + natura "nature") is anything above or beyond what one holds to be natural and exists outside natural law and the observable universe.[1] Science limits its explanations for phenomena to natural explanations, a process known as methodological naturalism, and cannot consider supernatural explanations, as they cannot be investigated empirically. Those who hold mystical or theistic beliefs may have no conception of supernatural phenomena, but might perceive the scientist's natural laws, on their own, as being subnatural.[citation needed] To explain something using natural causes and excluding supernatural causes is to naturalize it.[2] To explain something as resulting from supernatural causes is to supernaturalize it.[3]

Supernatural themes are often associated with paranormal and occult ideas, suggesting the possibility of interaction with the supernatural by means of summoning or trance. In secular societies, religious miracles are typically perceived as supernatural claims, as are spells and curses, divination, and the afterlife. Characteristics for phenomena claimed as supernatural are anomaly, uniqueness, and uncontrollability. Thus, the conditions in which such phenomena are thought to manifest may not be reproducible for scientific examination.

Smallville is an American television series developed by writers/producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on the DC Comics character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The television series was initially broadcast by The WB, premiering on October 16, 2001.[1] After its fifth season, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW, which is the current broadcaster for the show in the United States.[2] The longest-running comic book based series in television history,[3] Smallville began its tenth season in September 2010.[4] The series follows the adventures of Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who resides in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. The first four seasons focused on Clark and his friends' high school years. Since season five, the show has ventured into more adult settings, eventually focusing on his career at the Daily Planet, as well as introducing other DC comic book superheroes and villains.

The concept for Smallville was derived after a potential series chronicling a young Bruce Wayne's journey toward becoming Batman failed to get off the ground. After meeting with the president of Warner Bros. Television, Gough and Millar pitched their "no tights, no flights" rule, which would break Superman down to the bare essentials and look at the events that led Clark Kent to become Superman. After seven seasons with the show, series developers Gough and Millar departed without providing a specific reason. Smallville is predominantly filmed in and around Vancouver, with some of the local businesses and buildings substituting for Smallville locations. The music for the first six seasons is primarily composed by Mark Snow, who incorporates elements of John Williams's musical score from the original Superman film series. In season seven, Louis Febre—who had worked with Snow from the beginning—took over as primary composer. The song played under the opening titles is "Save Me" by Remy Zero; several episodes also contain songs written and performed by other bands.

The series received generally positive reception when it began broadcasting. Former Superman star Christopher Reeve voiced his approval of the series, and the pilot episode broke the record for highest rated debut for The WB, with 8.4 million viewers.[5] With nine seasons completed, Smallville has averaged approximately 4.47 million viewers per episode, with season two averaging the highest ratings at 6.3 million. Since its first season, the series has earned distinctions ranging from Emmy Awards to Teen Choice Awards. In other media, the show has spawned a series of young-adult novels, a DC Comics bi-monthly comic book and soundtrack releases, as well as Smallville-related merchandise. Currently, nine seasons of Smallville are available on DVD in regions 1, 2, and 4.

On May 19, 2010, it was announced that Smallville would end its run after the tenth season,[6][7] which premiered on September 24,
